Commuters on US 90 in Orleans Parish should prepare for a week of delays as the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced upcoming roadwork. According to the official announcement, the westbound and eastbound lanes of Chef Menteur Highway will experience partial closures between Victory Road and Fort Macomb Road for paving operations starting tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. and continuing through Friday at 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The work is part of asphalt concrete paving operations aimed at improving road surface quality. Drivers can expect partial left lane closures, which may affect traffic flow and increase travel times on this route during construction hours.
The DOTD urges motorists to exercise caution in construction zones and to consider alternative routes or adjust travel times if possible. Signage and traffic signals will be in place guiding drivers through the construction area safely.
