Along with the fog advisory, Knoxville should be ready for a wetter climate in the coming days. Showers and thunderstorms are predicted to be a usual affair with today likely to experience wet weather, mainly after 2 pm. The humidity is hanging at a saturated 100%, and a calm wind is to become southwest around 5 mph. "Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm." as per the National Weather Service update. This sets the chance of precipitation at 60%, and residents should prepare for new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, although, localized higher amounts could occur in thunderstorms.
The forecast shows a good chance of thunderstorms and showers all week. On Friday and Saturday, there's a 30% chance of storms, mostly in the afternoons and evenings. Sunday has a higher chance, with a 60% chance of storms after 2 p.m. Nights will be cooler, with temperatures in the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
