
Following a high-speed chase that spilled into the city of Lawrence, MA, a coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of four armed robbery suspects. The Lawrence Police Department's post detailing how the initial pursuit on Thursday, July 3, by the North Andover Police Department culminated in a multi-agency operation involving the assistance of state and federal law enforcement.
The situation escalated rapidly when the suspects, driving a Honda CR-V, crashed their vehicle near Marston Street and fled on foot. To swiftly contain the incident, law enforcement teams, including units from the North Andover Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, Methuen Police Department, the Essex County Sheriff's Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, began to methodically search the area. Tech was deployed; drones buzzed overhead while K9 units and the MSP Air Wing gravelled to cover ground in their pursuit.
A post by the Lawrence Police Department highlighted that one suspect was quickly apprehended following a brief foot chase. Three additional suspects were discovered by a detail officer, ingeniously concealed in a crawl space beneath a double-decker bridge. The suspects were ordered to surrender and were subsequently arrested without further incident.
