
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been called in to probe a shooting that transpired yesterday in Glennville, reportedly involving multiple victims. According to a press release from the GBI, the violent encounter unfolded in the early hours, leaving one man deceased and two others with gunshot injuries.
Officials were alerted to the incident located at MLK Drive between Boyd Street and Green Street around midnight. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Alvin Lashawn Williams, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he, was later declared dead. The two additional victims were also taken to medical facilities to receive treatment.
The GBI Crime Lab in Pooler, Georgia is slated to conduct an autopsy on Williams' body. While full details on what sparked the tragedy are currently under wraps, the investigation remains active, with law enforcement scouring for leads.
