Following a violent altercation involving teens on July 5, a 15-year-old girl is facing charges after Gilbert Police Department officers were called to a business parking lot at Williams Field Road and Market Street, according to an official announcement from the Gilbert Police Department.
The incident, which happened just before midnight, led to the teenager's arrest on multiple charges including assault under A.R.S. § 13-1203(A)(3), and disorderly conduct according to A.R.S. § 13-2904(A)(1). Additionally, the arrest included a curfew violation as outlined in Gilbert Municipal Code 42-143(B)(1). Despite the arrest, the investigation by local authorities continues with further interviews and evidence review, as they seek to piece together the full scope of events, as reported by the Gilbert Police Department.
Gilbert Police Department emphasized the community's low tolerance for violence, especially involving youth.
