Good news for those looking to lay down a foundation in the burgeoning Jefferson neighborhood: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has teamed up with the city to offer a shot at homeownership. This initiative, part of the Build Back the Block program, brings seven new two-story homes to vacant slots where city-owned properties once stood.
According to the City of Hamilton, houses on Ludlow Street and Maple Avenue come with space designed to harbor families' dreams — featuring three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, it's a promise of stability and affordability that the city sorely needs. Habitat for Humanity has long been in the business of constructing more than walls and roofs; they build futures.
Starting from last Friday, those interested can pick up a paper application at 345 High Street, where they can expect to find city staff ready to guide them through the process. During weekdays, applicants can drop by between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or outside these hours by arrangement.
For full application details, rules on eligibility, or to address any queries, the city directs potential applicants to its official application page.
