Howard County police are currently investigating a grave incident in Columbia, a suspected case of domestic murder-suicide that has left two individuals dead. Last night at approximately 8:15 p.m., law enforcement responded to the 7500 block of Summer Blossom Lane, where an acquaintance, concerned for the well-being of the couple, discovered the lifeless bodies of both individuals within their residence, as reported by the Howard County Police Department.
The individuals have been identified as Ahmad Kharma, 23, and Shannon Buschner, 47, who were both found by police upon arrival at the home. Investigators believe, with a measure of certainty, that Kharma shot and killed Buschner before turning the gun on himself. A firearm was recovered close to Kharma's body at the scene. The investigators are still trying to precisely determine the time of the incident and the underlying motives that led to it.
