After a drug bust in Hamilton County, the Westfield Police Department's Special Investigations Unit, along with Fishers Crime Reduction Unit and other law enforcement agencies, arrested two brothers from Indianapolis, Anthony and Alexander Castillo, on multiple drug-related charges. A traffic stop on July 10 led to the discovery of illegal drugs and firearms in Anthony's vehicle, which prompted further investigation, as reported by the Westfield Police Department.

A social media post by the Westfield Police Department stated that officers found an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and a Glock with an extended magazine during a search of Anthony Castillo’s car. Police then obtained a warrant to search the Castillos' apartment, where they found 11 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, Promethazine, a small amount of cocaine, various THC products, firearms, and about $5,000 in cash. Anthony Castillo was charged with several Level 2 Felony counts for dealing in controlled substances and narcotics, as well as a Level 5 Felony for dealing over 10 pounds of marijuana.

Alexander Castillo was arrested on Tuesday by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office after a warrant was issued last Wednesday. He faces charges including Level 2 Felony Dealing in a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Narcotic Drug, Level 3 Felony Possession of a Narcotic Drug, and Level 5 Felony Dealing in Marijuana Over 10 Pounds. His arrest followed that of his brother, Anthony Castillo, and involved cooperation between Westfield Police, Fishers Crime Reduction Unit, IMPD, and the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Westfield Police Department on their Facebook page, “This case highlights the excellent work of our SIU detectives in keeping dangerous drugs and weapons out of our community.” Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty. All questions have been referred to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.
