Kelly Clarkson, the singer and talk show host known for her powerful voice and affable personality, has hit a snag on the road to her Las Vegas residency debut, as she announced postponements due to health concerns. Her residency, titled "Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions," was slated to open at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with the first two shows scheduled for this past weekend. However, fans eager to see the star will have to wait a bit longer, as per FOX5 Vegas.
Clarkson took to her social media platform 'X' to deliver the news directly to her fans, "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on," News3LV reported.
Amidst this setback, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was quick to express support for Clarkson's decision and ensure ticket holders are taken care of, offering them the option to refund or keep their tickets as they work to reschedule the show, this according to a statement given to FOX5 Vegas. The ongoing relationship had begun during Clarkson's previous visit to the Strip at Planet Hollywood in 2023-2024, which was met with critical acclaim and fan adoration.
As it stands, Clarkson stated in the announcement that rehearsals and preparing for tonight's and Saturday's shows took a toll on her voice, her residency "Studio Sessions" holds dates scheduled from this past Friday through August 16 and again from November 7-15, Clarkson's commitment to her fans and the quality of her performances is clear despite this hiccup, she’s determined to provide the extraordinary experience she's promised, as soon as her health allows, and surely fans will be waiting to welcome her back with open arms once she's ready to take the stage.
