A LaGrange convenience store clerk has been arrested on accusations of child molestation, following an investigation that started with police responding to a disturbance call last month. FOX 5 Atlanta reports that officers with the LaGrange Police Department arrived at the Daniel Street Foodmart on June 23 to find allegations leveled against a store clerk.
Upon investigating the claims, the department's Special Victims Unit took the lead. They arrested Fakhrul Islam, who is also known by the moniker "Sam," accusing him of sexual activities with a minor. As part of the police's efforts, no further details pertaining to the evidence have been publicly disclosed.
The case has raised concerns within the community, highlighted by the swift action of local law enforcement.
