Las Cruces residents looking for a direct line to local law enforcement won't have to look far this Tuesday. The Las Cruces Police Department is rolling out its MOC, the Mobile Operations Command unit, for its monthly "MOC on the Block" event. From 5-8 p.m. on July 29, the community is invited to engage with officers and community outreach advocates to discuss their concerns about crime and neighborhood safety. The gathering will take place near Texas Roadhouse, at 2200 E. Lohman Ave., sandwiched comfortably between the restaurant and the Speedway convenience store.
