The Scottsdale Quarter will be bustling this weekend as LEGO enthusiasts are set to welcome a new store dedicated to the tiny, connectable bricks. The latest LEGO Store at 15279 N. Scottsdale Road, Unit F1-170, is opening its doors on Friday, adding to metro Phoenix's ever-growing selection of destinations for both the young and young at heart who engage with the brick-building pastime, Phoenix New Times reports.
Patrons visiting the new 2,314-square-foot location can expect to immerse themselves in a world filled with LEGO's most popular themes, from the immersive worlds of "Star Wars" to the magical realms of "Harry Potter." In addition, those who enjoy custom creations can make use of the "Pick & Build Wall" and the "Build-a-Mini" tower. And for those inspired by direct interaction with their bricks, play tables will be ready and waiting, according to Phoenix New Times.
The grand opening is slated for this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the creation of a custom mural to celebrate Scottsdale’s history, located near the Scottsdale Quarter's splash pads. The LEGO store will also offer special deals and exclusives during its opening week such as a complimentary “I (Love) LEGO Store” tile with certain purchases and an exclusive New Store Opening set for LEGO Insiders members who spend $150 or more, says the Phoenix New Times.
Local LEGO groups Cactus Brick and Valley of the Brick will showcase their own intricate designs, giving visitors a glimpse into the creative possibilities that LEGO offers. Beyond the opening festivities, visitors can find regular store hours and directions on the LEGO Store Scottsdale Quarter website. The store's features include the Insiders Rewards Program, a demonstration table, and acceptance of LEGO.com returns, making for a comprehensive LEGO shopping experience.
For LEGO fans who can't make it to the grand opening, the store will maintain regular hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visit the LEGO Store's official page for more information on store offerings and the Insiders Early Access feature for serious collectors.
