Deputies were called to a location in Fort Gratiot Township after a disoriented woman asked a neighbor for help. She said she had been drugged and sexually assaulted. During the investigation, investigators found photos of her that had been taken without her consent, as mentioned by WXYZ. The suspect and the victim had recently met through a dating app, and digital evidence may be important in the case.
Fouts was arrested at the same apartment complex where the alleged crimes happened and has been denied bond. He is facing several charges, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, which could lead to a life sentence if convicted. According to Audacy, the other charges also carry long prison terms.
