Last Tuesday, officers were informed that a man was seen hastily exiting the outlet mall with a cache of goods hastily gathered in shopping bags before fleeing into a waiting vehicle. Despite an attempt by mall security to approach and reason with the suspects, the vehicle was found parked in hasty retreat behind a nearby church. Inside, the police discovered a haul that included 28 pairs of Nike shoes (valued over $4,000), 12+ pairs of New Balance shoes (valued over $1,000), and 8 pairs of Skechers shoes (valued at $750), aggregating a total loss exceeding $5,750.
The Livermore Police acted swiftly on the intelligence, resulting in Rojasventuro's arrest on charges of organized retail theft and receiving stolen property. Evidence at the scene compounded a narrative of orchestrated crime, one in which meticulous planning meets the steadfastness of law enforcement.
A second suspect, 34-year-old Deigo Davilajimenez, remains at large with a complaint soon to be sought in association with the incident. According to Livermore Police, "Mall security attempted to speak with the occupants of the vehicle before it drove off," capturing the immediate response of those guardians of the public's tranquility at the outlets.
