A dramatic scene unfolded in Lynn today when a box truck collided with multiple vehicles before ramming into a residential home. The home, situated at the crossroads of Ingalls and Jackson streets, sustained damage as the truck compromised its foundation and struck a gas line, prompting immediate evacuation of the two individuals inside, who were, fortunately, unharmed.
Lynn fire officials, who received the distress call just before the eleventh hour of the morning, confirmed the sequence of events. Although the gas was subsequently shut off, there was a palpable sense of tension, as the condition of the driver remains shrouded in mystery, their accountability in the matter yet to be determined by the authorities, according to Boston 25 News. Meanwhile, the police disclosed to 7NEWS that the driver, along with a passenger, had abandoned the truck and fled the scene post-collision.
