A late Sunday night shooting in Seattle's North Queen Anne neighborhood has left a 39-year-old man seriously wounded, according to SPD Blotter. Police received reports of gunfire around 10:08 p.m. near 9 Nickerson Street, where the victim was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding officers administered first aid before the arrival of the Seattle Fire Department, who subsequently rushed him to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses at the scene reported an altercation between the victim and the occupants of a white sedan just before the shots were fired. Two individuals from the sedan are said to have shot the victim before fleeing the area. Despite a search by the police, no suspects or the vehicle were located following the incident.
The case has since been taken over by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit. Detectives are actively working to piece together the events that led to the shooting. The Seattle Police Department is encouraging anyone with information to step forward and contact their Violent Crimes Tip Line.
