
Seattle's North Queen Anne neighborhood became the scene of a late-night altercation that escalated into gunfire, critically wounding a 39-year-old man, as reported by the Seattle Police Department's blotter. The incident occurred on Sunday, when at approximately 10:08 p.m., a 911 call led officers to 9 Nickerson Street, where they discovered the man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Efforts to stabilize the victim were immediate, with officers administering life-saving aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived, consequently rushing him to Harborview Medical Center where he remains in serious condition; detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are probing into the circumstances that sowed the seeds for this violent encounter, the shooting arising from an apparent dispute between the victim and individuals in a parked white sedan, two of whom shot the victim before fleeing the scene in their vehicle.
Despite a thorough search in the vicinity of the crime and beyond, the Seattle Police have yet to track down the suspects or their means of escape; however, their investigation persists with the aim of shedding light on the motives and identities behind this near-fatal confrontation.
