A jewelry heist unfolded at Sunvalley Mall yesterday afternoon when three masked individuals raided a jewelry kiosk. Authorities reported that the suspects, equipped with sledge hammers, shattered the glass display cases at Jewelry Time, seizing an array of jewelry items before making their escape. The incident, which sent shoppers at the Contra Costa mall into disarray, occurred just after 2 p.m., as stated by Mercury News.
The crime took a violent turn when one suspect proceeded to pepper-spray a kiosk employee. The victim required medical attention and was subsequently taken to a hospital.
