Medway Man Arrested for Racially Charged Threats and Lewd Messages in Milford

A Medway man has been arrested after directing racially charged threats and lewd messages at minority community members and female officers in Milford, Massachusetts, authorities said. The suspect, identified as Lawrence Trust, 46, reportedly made multiple offensive phone calls and sent inappropriate messages through social media to the Milford Police Department.

According to a Facebook post by the Milford Police Department, the incident began last Wednesday evening with phone calls from an unidentified "ghost" number making racially insensitive remarks aimed at both residents and officers belonging to minority groups. Subsequent investigations led to Trust's arrest at his residence, with charges relating to threats to commit a crime.

Lawrence Trust was captured yesterday following cooperative efforts between Milford and Medway Police. Threats against minority groups and sexually aggressive comments toward two female officers triggered the police action. "This kind of lewd and bigoted behavior will not be tolerated toward the citizens and officers I serve," Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said, emphasizing the town's policy of zero tolerance for such vile misconduct.

After being taken into custody, Trust faced arraignment in Milford District Court on two counts of threatening to commit a crime. Tusino, stressing the reprehensibility of such acts, stated: "There is zero tolerance in Milford for threats against a person based on their race, ethnicity, creed, or sex." Noted during the booking at Milford Police Department, Trust was subjected to due process as is mandated for all suspects who stand innocent until proven guilty.
