
Memphis police are actively searching for 22-year-old Victor Peeler, the suspect in a July 4 shooting that targeted officers. According to a X post by the Memphis Police Department, the shooting happened early that morning when officers responded to a disturbance at Peabody Place and Rufus Thomas Boulevard. A passenger in a black Nissan Juke opened fire on them.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, but police have issued a warrant for Peeler’s arrest on 12 counts of attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment. Officers were first alerted by the Downtown Command Center, which saw the incident live on surveillance cameras, as reported by the Memphis Police Department.
Peeler is now wanted in connection with the shooting, and police are asking for the public’s help to find him.
