Memphis police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Elvis Presley Boulevard yesterday morning. Responding just before 8 a.m., officers discovered a male victim pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by Action News 5.
The incident was one of a series of three shootings that took place across South Memphis. WREG has identified that subsequent shootings occurred at 8:12 a.m. on South Third Street near Mallory and at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the Riverside neighborhood, leaving two individuals critically injured while police managed to detain one person related to the third shooting.
Authorities have yet to release any suspect information regarding the homicide on Elvis Presley Boulevard, a fact echoed by FOX13 Memphis in their coverage of the incident. With an investigation underway, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) has appealed to the public for any information that could lead to an arrest in this case.
