Memphis residents awoke to news of a brazen robbery that shook the 3000 block of Steve Road, according to a report released on the Memphis Police Department's website. The late-night ordeal, which took place on July 14, 2025, involved a group of 4 to 5 unknown males who, wielding the threatening weight of gunpoint, relieved four individuals of their possessions, including debit and credit cards.
Setting their sights eastbound on Steve Road, the suspects disappeared into the night. But their trail heated up six days later, as one man was caught on camera attempting to use the victim's stolen cards at a gas station in the 2000 block of Airways Station. Captured in the early hours, at 5:51 a.m., he played a secondary role as a passenger in a vehicle driven by another suspect, as reported by the Memphis Police Department's website.
Providing a glimpse into the suspects' appearances, police described the driver as a Black male with a beard, clad in a blue shirt. Running east, the passenger was characterized by a black Nike mask, marking his allegiance to anonymity. The pair was last seen in a gray, older-model Honda Pilot SUV. Driven by a tip that could help solve the case, law enforcement is urging anyone with information to come forward. They're asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
