One such episode occurred at a Family Dollar store on Highland Street, where a dispute over a refund escalated into violence. According to the Memphis Police Department's social media post, a female customer, upset over a refund policy, assaulted another individual with mace following a heated exchange. The suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim with minor injuries. The police are actively seeking any information from the public to help quickly locate the assailant.
Another incident took place at a Kroger on South Mendenhall Road, where an elderly male took out his frustration over parking in a damaging manner. Per the same police report, believing a security vehicle was improperly parked in a handicap spot, the individual deflated all four tires of the car. The entire act of vandalism was captured on video surveillance, and authorities are requesting the public's assistance to apprehend the suspect.
An additional assault was reported at Circle K on Germantown Parkway, where a customer became irate waiting for service and threw a foam cup sleeve at an employee, striking her in the head. In both cases, the perpetrators were able to quickly leave before they could be detained.
