Memphis Police Seek Public's Help After Attempted Purse Snatching at Kroger on Poplar Avenue

The victim, leaving the grocery store, encountered an unexpected confrontation when an unidentified man attempted to take her purse.

During the struggle, the assailant, described as a heavy-set Black male wearing a red shirt, forced the victim to the ground as she screamed for help. The assailant ultimately left empty-handed, last seen walking towards the adjacent Walgreens. The incident resulted in minor injuries for the victim, who was later transported to a hospital and is currently in non-critical condition.

The Memphis Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying the suspect involved in this crime.
