An investigation is underway following the killing of a woman in her 30s, who was found shot outside her Northwest Miami-Dade home. The incident then took a grim turn as the suspected shooter was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a multi-vehicle crash in Sweetwater.
According to details provided by NBC Miami, the series of events began around 10:32 a.m. at a home located at Northwest 10th Lane and Northwest 127th Path. After deputies discovered the woman's body, a subsequent fatal crash involving multiple vehicles occurred at Southwest 107th Avenue and Southwest 3nd Street, where the man, in his 40s, succumbed to his wounds.
Investigators from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office are piecing together the timeline, trying to establish the connection, if any, between the two deceased individuals. Public Information Deputy Joseph Peguero asked for community assistance, urging anyone with information to reach out to the sheriff's office at 305-471-TIPS. In a report from WSVN, the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, with no previous domestic incidents reported at the address of the initial shooting.
