The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Traffic Homicide Unit is intensifying its investigation into a fatal hit-and-run. According to the Miami-Dade County official report, Samuel Lee Singletary was struck and killed around 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday in the 9200 block of NW 7th Avenue. Authorities say the driver of a dark-colored sedan fled the scene without stopping to help or notify emergency responders. The search for the suspect continues.
Earlier today, investigators and the family of Samuel Lee Singletary gathered at the intersection where he was killed, handing out flyers and urging passersby to share any information that could help identify the driver involved.
