
Minneapolis residents can expect a wet and stormy weather pattern today, with showers and a possible thunderstorm anticipated before 1pm, as temperatures take a dip to around 62 degrees by late afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, there's an 80 percent chance of precipitation, with new rainfall amounts ranging between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight, the chance of showers will decrease to a mere 20 percent before 9pm, followed by cloudy conditions which are expected to clear gradually into the night. The temperature is forecasted to bottom out around 53 degrees with north winds blowing at a rate of 5 to 15 mph. Looking forward to Thursday, the skies will brighten up with sunny conditions and a high near 74 degrees, accompanied by a gentle north breeze around 5 mph.
Lingering into the weekend, Friday could see a 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm with partly sunny skies and highs reaching near 76. However, the night may bring a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms as the mercury stays around a more humid 65 degrees. As for Saturday, it looks to be partly sunny with temperatures climbing near an agreeable 80 degrees.
