The NWS has issued an Extreme Heat Warning, emphasizing that "dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 100 to 105 expected" are imminent. The warning remains in effect from noon to 9 PM CDT Sunday, covering portions of central, east central, south central, southwest, and west central Minnesota. Residents are advised to take precautions by staying hydrated, remaining in air-conditioned environments, avoiding sun exposure, and checking on those among us most vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.
