Miramar Man Airlifted to Hospital After Being Allegedly Shot by Girlfriend, Police Investigating Domestic-Related Shooting

A man was airlifted to the hospital after being shot in the back reportedly by his girlfriend in Miramar, officials said. The incident occurred in a residential area near Southwest 173rd Avenue and 46th Street and was captured from above by 7Skyforce around 5:30 p.m. yesterday.

Miramar Police responded to the scene of the shooting after a call came in, during which they dispatched a woman—allegedly the girlfriend—who claimed she shot her boyfriend following an argument. Despite the man's critical injury, from the scene, a local high school was disturbingly close to the commotion, where a Miramar Fire Rescue truck was spotted by WSVN.

When first responders arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his back. He was subsequently flown to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment, though his current condition has not been disclosed.
