A three-vehicle crash in Modesto resulted in one death. The Modesto Police Department said officers responded to the collision around 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of Standiford Avenue and Sisk Road.
A male driver in Modesto died after crashing into a pole, losing control, and hitting another pole before colliding with two vehicles in oncoming traffic. He was taken to a hospital and later died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported. Police said alcohol and drugs were not involved and that a medical emergency may have caused the crash. The Modesto Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit investigated, and the incident caused major road closures.
According to the Modesto Police Department on their Facebook page, the community is being asked to assist in a collision investigation involving the death of an unidentified Modesto man.
