The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is set to tighten the flow on eastbound Reavis Barracks under I-55. Starting on Monday, MoDOT crews intend to close one lane for a two-week stretch to address drainage updates, a move echoed by the calendar's inevitable march and the persistent wear of man-made structures against nature's elements.
Beginning on Monday at 7 a.m., according to MoDOT's announcement, the right lane under the interstate will be closed. This construction will cater to the area between the ramp to southbound I-55 and the ramp to northbound I-55. The work is expected to take about two weeks, depending on weather. Drivers can still access the interstate, but should expect delays, especially near Union Road, and plan extra travel time.
