Upon receiving the automated alert, Mt. Juliet officers were quick to act, locating and conducting a traffic stop of the vehicle in question. The stop led to the discovery that the driver, a 43-year-old man from Lebanon, was not merely in possession of a stolen tag. The individual was, in fact, under a felony indictment. He was wanted for selling and distributing methamphetamine in the Wilson County area, as per a report by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
Instances like these provide concrete examples of how integrated technology can bolster police efforts in targeting criminal activity. "Thanks to our officers’ swift response and the power of advanced technology, another wanted individual is off the streets," reads the department's social media post.
