In response to the impact of Tropical Storm Chantal in Orange County, North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey has established a Victim Assistance Center (VAC) in Carrboro. The center is intended to offer direct support to residents affected by the storm’s damage.
According to a press release from the North Carolina Department of Insurance, the purpose of these centers is to cater, as effectively as possible, to the needs of the locals. Insurance specialists are available from noon to 7 p.m., starting Thursday through today, to address insurance-related questions and assist with the recovery process following the flooding.
The VAC is located on the first floor of the Drakeford Multipurpose Room at 203 S. Greensboro St., Carrboro, to ensure accessibility for those in need.
