Heads up, drivers in New Haven Road area—your commute is about to take a slight detour. According to an announcement from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), a section of New Haven Road will close starting Monday. The closure runs from just west of Warren Drive to east of the Woodstock Community entrance.
The closure is due to improvement work at the U.S. Route 63 and Boone County Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) interchange, starting next week. The road will remain closed until mid-August. Drivers should plan for alternate routes to avoid delays during construction.
While the road is closed, MoDOT assures residents that both entrances to the mobile home community will remain open during construction. However, the schedule may change depending on the weather.
If you regularly use New Haven Road, it's time to plan a detour. MoDOT is asking all drivers to cooperate by wearing seatbelts, staying off their phones, following traffic signs, and slowing down in work zones, according to their announcement.
