In the early hours of June 18, the suspect managed to snatch a victim's cellular phone and bank card, according to officials. The theft took place around 3:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Canal Street, a frequented spot in the city's backdrop.
The aftermath of the event was not just limited to the loss of property, the suspect allegedly went on to perform multiple illegal financial transactions with the stolen items. Security images have been released to aid in the apprehension. The NOPD has disseminated the photos with hopes that community members will recognize the suspect's face and come forward.
