The suspect in question is Ronald Robertakim Dickens, a Black male born on May 19, 1999, his image now circulating in a bid to ensure swift justice and community safety.
Details from the NOPD shared via NOPD News reported that the incident occurred in the early hours, precisely around 2:15 a.m. on June 30, this is when Dickens is said to have made an illegal entry into the victim's residence armed and not just with ill intent but a gun in his grasp, that in the ensuing confrontation, the victim suffered a strike with the firearm before being shot.
The NOPD has classified the incident as aggravated burglary with a dangerous weapon and aggravated second degree battery, highlighting the severity of Dickens' alleged crimes. Authorities encourage anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ronald Robertakim Dickens to come forward, stressing the importance of community involvement in ensuring that those who pose a threat to the safety and well-being of its residents are held accountable.
