Norman drivers are advised that Berry Road will have traffic changes starting July 21. The City of Norman announced that pavement maintenance work will shift to a new area. The construction will affect the section between Main Street and Robinson Street, with the northbound lane of Berry Road from Main Street to Kansas Street closed to traffic.
This new phase of construction is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve its streets through the 2021 Street Maintenance Bond program. During this period, the left turn lane from Main Street onto Berry Road will be closed. The contractor will begin performing selective concrete panel replacement as part of the repairs. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Flood Avenue, resulting in an alternate route for daily commutes.
The City of Norman has announced that construction and associated detours are expected to remain in effect through August 8. Residents are encouraged to check the city’s official website for traffic updates and any changes to the construction schedule.
