Oakland residents and stakeholders will soon have the opportunity to voice their opinions on the proposed changes to the Hidden Springs Planned Development. According to the Town of Oakland public notice issued, the Oakland Board of Mayor and Aldermen is set to host a public hearing on a zoning amendment that involves a revised general development plan for the area.
The proposed zoning amendment covers an 84-acre parcel situated on, the east side of Highway 194, specifically parcel 029.00 on Fayette County Tax Map 107. The ordinance up for discussion seeks to alter the current development plans for Hidden Springs, potentially impacting the Oakland community both aesthetically and economically, as reported by the Town of Oakland.
Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the hearing, which will adhere to the provisions outlined in Section 13-7-203 of the Tennessee Code Annotated. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Oakland Town Hall, as detailed by the Town of Oakland.
