The storied rivalry of college basketball between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Cowgirls, and the Oklahoma Sooners will return to Oklahoma City's Paycom Center, with a new twist this year. Set for December 13, 2025, the Bedlam series will feature a doubleheader that includes both the men's and women's teams in a single-day showcase. According to News9, this marks the first occasion where both genders will share the spotlight at Paycom Center, following a successful men's game in 2024 that signaled OU's move to the SEC.
Chris Semrau, the General Manager of Paycom Center, has expressed excitement about the expansion of the Bedlam tradition, "It was an incredible experience for Oklahoma City to fill the arena with both OSU and OU fans in 2024," he stated in an announcement echoed by KFOR. The anticipation for another energetic convergence of fan bases is high, and with the addition of the women's game, it's an opportunity to further celebrate basketball in the state of Oklahoma, as well as the strong rivalry that has thrived for decades.
Not to be left on the sidelines, OSU fans have an early shot at securing their seats. Oklahoma State's official athletic site reveals that tickets for the event will be on general sale starting August 1; however, a special presale commences today exclusively for the Cowboys and Cowgirls' supporters. By utilizing the promo code "GOOSU," fans are given the chance to snap up tickets in the designated OSU section before they are released to the wider public.
Looking back, the Oklahoma State and Oklahoma men's basketball teams have locked horns 250 times since the 1927-28 season. Meanwhile, the Cowgirls and the Sooners are gearing up to reignite an equally fierce competition that extends back fifty years and was, only paused last year. Both women’s teams have recently enjoyed national recognition, achieving rankings and NCAA Tournament berths in 2025.
