
Yesterday, a reported shooting outside the Playhouse Gentlemen's Club in West Park led to one person being taken into custody. According to Local 10 News, the Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on the scene after they received a call shortly after 5:30 a.m. about the incident occurring near 5775 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd.
Multiple vehicles met with damage, including two BMWs, were discovered at the scene by the deputies. Crashes appeared to have happened in front of the club, where at least one vehicle had its airbags deployed. Local 10 News reports indicated a tow truck later removed the damaged vehicles.
Akheem Omarie Mahabier, 28, was seen in handcuffs, being checked by paramedics before being placed into a BSO vehicle. While no injuries were reported in connection to the shooting, Mahabier is facing serious charges. Local 10 News obtained jail records that show Mahabier is charged with one count each of attempted murder, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, and possession of weapon or ammo by a convicted felon.
