A pedestrian was tragically killed in an early morning incident on July 19 in Scottsdale, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. Occurring near the intersection of Scottsdale and Mountain View roads, Scottsdale Police stated that the driver involved remained at the scene following the collision. Despite the pedestrian succumbing to injuries at the site of the accident, authorities have confirmed that neither speed nor alcohol were contributing factors in the unfortunate event.
Information released to the public is somewhat limited, as the identity of the pedestrian has not yet been disclosed. However, it has been revealed that the pedestrian was not utilizing a crosswalk at the time the collision occurred. AZ Family reported that the closure affected southbound Scottsdale Road at Mountain View Road, but it was subsequently reopened around 11:45 a.m. after crews cleared the site of the accident and the necessary investigations took their initial course.
