This yearly event, called APSCON, brings together leaders and agencies from across the country to improve their airborne operations, as reported by the City of Phoenix.
Demonstrating their critical role within the community, the Phoenix Police Department’s Air Support Unit was spotlighted during the event. Attendees had the chance to not just observe the department’s aircraft up close, according to the City of Phoenix website, but to also hear about the significant impact such tools have on local operations. Phoenix PD Assistant Chief Brian Lee stated, “This is an opportunity for the City of Phoenix to showcase all that we have to offer,” capturing how vital their air support unit is to citywide policing efforts.
