Reports from ABC15 indicate that Goodall was attempting to closely follow the westbound traffic on the interstate and failed to fully stop for a vehicle in front of him. He was subsequently thrown from his motorcycle upon impact and was struck by a commercial vehicle. Despite being quickly transported to a hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Officer Goodall, who was just 19 years old, had recently embarked on his career in law enforcement, serving at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for five months.
