Provo is gearing up for a celebration of independence and art, as the 2025 Freedom Festival unfolds in downtown. Slated for the weekend of July 4th, Utah County is inviting everyone to join in the festivities that promise fun for all ages. Kicking off with a parade and leading up to fireworks that will illuminate the night sky, this year's event includes a surplus of attractions ranging from food trucks to carnival rides.
According to Utah County, the historic courthouse will play host to the Fine Arts Display on Friday and Saturday, offering a glimpse into local creativity from 10 am to 6 pm. Art enthusiasts and patriotic citizens alike can revel in the works of Glan S Hopkinson, the artist honored by this year's festival. Hopkinsons’ pieces, which resonate with themes of history, culture, and the vast American frontier, are central to the display, and he credits these very elements as the fountains of his inspiration.
Live music and vendors will also populate the landscape, bringing forth a symphony of sights and sounds that encapsulate the spirit of community and celebration.
