The fast-casual dining scene is keeping tabs on the national expansion of Qdoba Mexican Eats, as the chain just opened its 800th restaurant in North Miami Beach, Florida. According to a report from Fast Casual, this inauguration marks a significant advance in Qdoba's ambitious plan to eventually double its presence to an impressive 1,600 locations by the year 2032.
Representatives of the company, brimming with confidence over their sustained growth, have to quickly lay out plans for role continuations in their nationwide expansion. CEO John Cywinski underscored the chain's "double-digit system sales growth over the past five years," which he proudly described as evidence of Qdoba's stature as "one of the fastest-growing brands in America," according to a press release obtained by Fast Casual. States like Florida and California, known for their love of flavorful and casual dining options, are among the targeted areas for further development.
The scene at the grand opening in Florida was one to behold. An enthusiastic line of customers poised to dive into customizable bowls, tacos, salads, quesadillas, and nachos stretched down Biscayne Boulevard, as captured in a segment by WSVN. Patrons there were greeted with the freshly prepared classics that have become synonymous with the Qdoba brand. “It’s great food. It’s all about the food, you know? People are tired of a burger, a fry, and a coke through a drive thru lane. Everything we do at Qdoba is freshly prepared. We sauté our vegetables every hour, we freshly prepare our guacamole,” shared John Cywinski in a featured interview with WSVN.
Amidst their aggressive growth strategy, Qdoba also celebrates securing commitments for over 500 developments, a nod to the attractive franchise model that has enticed nearly 20 new franchise partners in the past two years. “We’re building about a hundred restaurants a year, believe it or not. We are one of the fastest growing brands in America, and it’s all about great people. Miami is a great example,” Cywinski noted, hinting at to rapidly unfurl even more success in the near future. Qdoba's growth strategy includes establishing eateries in various settings beyond the conventional street-side locations, such as airports, universities, and military bases, broadening their appeal and accessibility, as outlined by Jeremy Vitaro, Qdoba's chief development officer, in detail sourced from WSVN.
