Starting this week, Rose Street is closed at the OR 99 intersection as part of a month-long road improvement project stretching from Glenwood to Coleman Creek, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced.
A detour route has been set up to help drivers navigate around the closure. Vehicles will be redirected via North Rose Street to West Bolz Road and then back to OR 99. Drivers are urged to follow detour signs, be cautious around construction zones, and expect intermittent lane closures on OR 99 from Monday to Friday, which may cause delays.
The project, scheduled for completion in spring 2026, aims to enhance safety and accessibility for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit users. Despite current funding challenges affecting ODOT’s operations and maintenance, construction projects like this are funded separately through state and federal capital programs and are not impacted by the agency’s staffing or budget issues for daily tasks.
