
The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a heat advisory as temperatures are expected to rise above 100 degrees this week. Today's forecast includes "areas of smoke after 11am" with a high near 101 degrees. On Friday, temperatures are expected to reach around 102 degrees under clear skies, according to the National Weather Service.
Sacramento is expected to have a hot weekend. On Saturday, the high will be around 98 degrees. On Sunday and Monday, highs will reach 97 and 98 degrees. Evening temperatures will drop to the mid-60s, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Hot and dry weather is expected to continue in California. The National Weather Service forecasts daytime temperatures in the mid-90s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with nighttime conditions “Clear, with a low around 61.” Health officials recommend staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, and using shade or air-conditioning. Sacramento has not announced any cooling centers yet, but continued high temperatures may lead to further steps.
