The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an investigation after a couple was found dead in their home on the city's far East Side, under what is being described as a 'double murder' according to a report by KTSA. The dispatch arrived on the scene in the 2400 block of Christian Drive after a relative, who had become concerned for the couple's well-being and subsequently broke into the home, discovered one of the victims unresponsive on the floor, the San Antonio Police Department reported.
Authorities were alerted after a 911 call from family members. The cause of death and any suspects haven't been shared yet, and details about the scene are still unclear. The home is located west of Loop 410 and south of Rigsby Avenue, in a neighborhood now shaken by the incident, as reported by KSAT.
In a statement obtained by KSAT, SAPD's spokesman Washington Moscoso reflected on the couple's standing within the community, stating, "It's obvious that this couple was very loved. They have a large family," he said, "There's a lot of people out here that are in mourning for the loss of these two individuals." Despite the early conjecture on a possible 'double murder', Moscoso later clarified that the exact causes of death are yet to be determined as of the latest briefing.
