
In the early hours of Sunday, a hit-and-run collision in Mission Valley East left a male pedestrian with grave injuries. The San Diego Police Department reports that the 48-year-old was struck while in the westbound lanes of 7600 Friars Rd, and the driver failed to remain at the scene. The incident occurred at approximately 1:10 AM, according to a press release from the San Diego Police Department.
The victim was urgently transported to a local hospital, where he is currently being treated for serious injuries, including a skull fracture, facial fracture, and fractured right tibia/fibula, as stated in the release. The SDPD Traffic Division has taken over to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Currently, no description of the suspect or the vehicle has been provided.
