But from Thursday to Friday, the weather narrative will shift as a weak upper-level low-pressure system moves northwards from Baja, increasing the monsoonal moisture and chances for showers, particularly in the mountainous areas and desert regions, the chances for mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms primarily for the mountains and high desert on Thursday and Friday with the greater chances on Friday, the NWS San Diego predicts. While "a 60% chance of cigs continuing along the immediate coast of southern Orange County and San Diego County through today," evening coastal clouds are expected to roll in each night.
